Jeff Munshaur is a certified
professional dog trainer and a former career Marine officer. He
was certified as a professional trainer by Rudy Drexler's
Internationally Famous School for Dogs, Inc. and maintains close ties.
Jeff has trained numerous breeds starting in 1978 with field trial
beagles. Since that time he has trained sporting breeds, hounds
and working breeds. Of course, he is also an accomplished all
breed obedience trainer. Jeff's work ethic revolves around the dog. He is a devoted trainer who will advise with candor and professionalism to ensure a successful relationship is formed between the animal and its owner/handler. Jeff's methods are humane, results oriented, and proven. He has forged strong bonds with other professional trainers/breeders from around the country and internationally. It is these bonds that afford Jeff the depth and flexibility to offer such a variety of services. He is also an accomplished freelance writer, speaker, and government contractor. Jeff has written dog related articles for magazines, marketing firms, and newspapers. His self syndicated weekly column ran in newspapers and periodicals in the Southeastern States. |
| Upon relocating to Indiana in 2005, Jeff's past caught up with him and he found himself in Taji, Iraq as a civilian counterinsurgency advisor. He felt it necessary to undertake this assignment and put some of his dog training and writing on hold. During his deployment, Jeff was promoted to Program Manager of the Phoenix Academy where his team trained and prepared American servicemen to advise their Iraqi counterparts. Returning from Iraq in 2007 he began to rebuild his kennel which is nestled in the hills of Southern Indiana. Currently, Jeff is balancing each aspect of his business - dog training, writing/speaking, and training/advising various African nations. Although this may sound overly ambitious, he has found that he can better concentrate on the absolute quality of each project. Contact Jeff if you're looking for that quality in your next dog or outdoor related project. |

His Marine career included tours
as the USMC Marksmanship Coordinator and Special Operations
Coordinator. During these tours, Jeff learned how to
critically evaluate new equipment. He uses these skills today
to ensure the dog community and outdoor world get the best gear
available.

| Beyond dogs and the outdoor sports, Jeff is an expert instructor/trainer in leadership, team building, decision making, and planning. He has written on these topics and trained or advised civilian businessmen as well as military personnel on these similar topics. These presentations have always been well received and are a large part of Jeff's current business, especially overseas. Recently he has aided in training African peacekeepers to better their own security situation. Jeff would be happy to build a custom presentation for your individual or business requirements. |
